Produced in partnership with The Department of Conservation (DOC) (and downloadable by clicking this link), Meet the Locals is a series of four minute stories aimed at a family audience about New Zealand's wild places and its wild inhabitants. The show features New Zealand native animals and plants, as well as the local humans who love to look after them.
The series is hosted by Nic Vallance, a self-described natural heritage enthusiast who is in love with New Zealand's wild places. Nic is a regular on TV ONE's Good Morning, representing DOC and presenting updates on their interesting activities.
Way to go Nic!
Hi all,
Yep, these shows sure are a lot of fun - a bit of a dream come true, and having the Post-grad Diploma of Natural History Filmmaking and Communication came in very handy! incidentally, that link didn't quite work for me, so to view the shows, please visit www.doc.govt.nz/locals and enjoy!
