Field Trips 2010

Our first year MSciComm students have been out and about on a number of “field trips”
to the Dunedin Gasworks Museum, the University of Otago High-Throughput DNA Sequencing Unit in the Department of Anatomy & Structural Biology, Orokonui Ecosanctuary and the Beverley Begg Observatory. At the end of April they will be off on a full day-trip to Karitane, Oamaru and the Vanished World Trail, led by Professor Ewan Fordyce, Head of the Geology Department, who will describe aspects of the geology and palaeontology of the region. Lots of ideas for thesis topics have been generated!
