The Inca Trail

Science communication is not something one generally thinks about either on the Inca Trail or when writing about it. However, it features large in Lloyd Spencer Davis’s soon to be published book called Looking for Darwin. Come to think of it, you wouldn’t expect a book on Darwin to have anything to do with the Inca Trail either. It’s not like Darwin took a stroll along it – although to be fair to him, he was a tireless traveller, trekking or travelling by horse or mule over much of South America.

So what’s the link between the Inca Trail, Darwin and science communication? Well, you are going to have to wait until the launch of the book on 7 October, but suffice to say that Lloyd explores the relationship between people that worshipped the sun, people that worship the Son of God, and people that just plain look to science to explain their world.
