The Centre for Science Communication became an official reality last night when the Centre was launched before a crowd of about 400 well-wishers. In addition to the launching of The Business of Documentary Filmmaking, there was the inaugural Distinguished Communicator Lecture given by Professor Paul Callaghan.
At the conclusion of his talk, which was on the challenges ahead for science in the 21st Century, Paul declared the Centre open to rapturous applause from the audience.
