Tales from Plant Earth

One of the great pleasures of the festival was the opportunity to work with filmmakers Judith Helfand and Sarita Seigel. Judith presented her new doco on global warming, Everything’s Cool, with its characteristically quirky sense of humour helping to enliven a film with an otherwise deeply disturbing message. Sarita screened a rough cut of her current project on Rastafarians, which has an astonishingly personal point of view. Both films were remarkable in the access the filmmakers had managed to get for their cameras.


Lloyd is hoping to get both Judith and Sarita out to New Zealand at some point to participate in the Centre for Science Communication.
