is Distinguished Professor of Philosophy at Oregon State University, USA and the author of The Pine Island Paradox, Riverwalking: Reflections on Moving Water and Holdfast: At Home in the Natural World, winner of the 2000 Sigurd Olson Nature Writing Award.
She will be a William Evans Fellow at the Centre for Science Communication
from 9 September – 9 October 2009.
